Donald Trump stated to his supporters that he would be arrested in NYC on Tuesday

"C U Next Tuesday" was trending on Saturday. I thought it was a random celebrity trend, since Elon Musk's Twitter is so broken. It turned out that people were laughing about Ol' Diaper Don Donald Trump. As I have said, I learned to tune out daily political conversations during the Dark Brandon administration. Joe Biden is trustworthy and I respect his judgment. I also love that I don't spend every day in terror due to what the man at the White House might do under Vladimir Putin's orders. Over the past year, there has been a lot movement in multiple investigations, prosecutions, and charges against Trump associates, and Trump business owners. New York's investigations have become extremely heated. Donald Trump thinks he is about to be arrested. Tuesday. Also, C U Next Tuesday.

Donald J. Trump was likely to be indicted by the Manhattan grand jury, but it was not clear when. He sought to rally supporter to his side and declared that he would face arrest on Tuesday.

At 7:26 am on Saturday, Trump posted the declaration on Truth Social. It ended with "THE FAR AND AWAY LEADING REPUBLICAN CANdidate and FORMER PRESIDENT of THE UNITED STATES, WILL BE ARRESTED ON TUEDAY OF THE NEXT WEEK." PROTEST, TAKE OUR NATION ACK!

A spokesman for Trump issued a statement two hours later stating that he had not written the post knowing the time of his arrest. He also stated, "President Trump is rightfully highlighting both his innocence and the weaponization our injustice system."

However, Mr. Trump's tweet on social media had an immediate impact. Within hours Speaker Kevin McCarthy, who is one of the most powerful federal officials and partly owes part of his position to Mr. Trump posted on Twitter that he was calling to investigate whether federal funds were being used to "politically motivated trials." This was a thinly disguised threat to Alvin L. Bragg, Manhattan's district Attorney.

According to Mr. Bragg's lawyers, they have indicated that Mr. Trump may be indicted. People familiar with the matter say that they have not yet told Mr. Trump's attorneys when charges... will be sought or an arrest made. According to people, at least one additional witness is expected before the grand jury. This could delay an indictment. One person said that even if a grand jury voted to indict the former President on Monday, it was unlikely that he would surrender Tuesday due to the need to organize timing, travel, and other logistics.

Trump's spokesperson did not provide any explanation for how he had arrived on Tuesday to be arrested. According to one person familiar with the matter, Trump's advisors knew that something could happen at that time and might have told someone.

[From The NY Times]

It's the Lucy-with-the-football thing from Peanuts. How many times will we be able to believe that Diaper Don is going to be handcuffed, and then dragged to prison? HOW MANY TIMES? Sincerely, I believe that if an arrest warrant is issued, it will not happen on Tuesday. The New York DA would absolutely not be able arrange a surrender so quickly. My argument would be, "Why does Trump have to surrender?" Why not have people sent down to Trump's Florida compound to hog-tie and then ship him back to New York? I am hopeful, but not optimistic. Next Tuesday, C U!
