Gwyneth Paltrow wasn't at fault for the 2016 ski accident, according to a Utah jury

It's too funny to think that Donald Trump was indicted the same night Gwyneth Paltrow was "acquitted” in her ski trial. Trump indicted, Goop innocent! Gwyneth was the defendant at a civil trial for a 2016 accident on Park City's bunny slopes. Terry Sanderson claimed that Gwyneth had crashed into him, causing him to suffer broken bones and head trauma. Gwyneth stated that Sanderson had crashed into him and that people checked on him. Gwyneth was believed by the jury and she received $1. Vindication!

Gwyneth paltrow and Terry Sanderson reached a settlement in civil case. The trial was about a ski accident that occurred seven years ago. The jury in Park City, Utah ruled that Paltrow (50) was not to blame and that Sanderson, 76, was 100 percent at fault. This caused Paltrow harm. Her $1 was awarded by the jury.

The jury was charged with investigating what Paltrow, Sanderson had done before and after the February 26, 2016 incident. They also needed to determine who was the downhill skier and who crashed into who.

In a statement obtained from PEOPLE, Paltrow stated that she felt that giving in to a false claim had compromised her integrity. I am happy with the result and I thank Judge Holmberg, the jury and for their thoughtfulness in this case.

Stephen Owens, her attorney, said that she was pleased with the unanimous verdict and appreciated the thoughtful handling of this case by the judge. Gwyneth is a strong advocate for the causes she believes in. This case was no exception and she will continue to fight for what is right.

C. Peter Sorensen, Sanderson's lawyer, stated in a statement that while he was disappointed by the outcome, he loved and supported the legal process. We are grateful to Judge Holmberg, the jury, and all staff members for their efforts. We will continue to evaluate and discuss where we are going from here over the next few hours.

After the verdict was announced, Paltrow leaned in to Sanderson and briefly whispered to him before continuing her departure. Extra was informed by Sanderson that Paltrow said to him, "I wish your well," and he replied, "Thanks, dear." The outlet also learned that he thought it was very kind of her.

[From People]

Gwyneth is seen leaning over to say "I wish you good luck" to the man who tried to sue her for millions. It's funny to think that Brentwood-speak might be used for "go f–k yourself," but it's amazing to see Gwyneth emerge from this situation smelling like a rose. On the Gossip With Celebitchy podcast, I admitted to believing her version of events. However, that doesn't change that Gwyneth is an objectively horrible person. She was not at fault in this particular instance.

Gwyneth Paltrow IS INNOCENT! Even more important, she is now $1 wealthier. JUSTICE IS SERVED https://t.co/3L3RzhBjSz pic.twitter.com/Tt34Inlr2t
