If I were a monarchist, it would be possible to make a basic argument why King Charles's coronation is good for the British economy. It will increase consumption, tourism will rise, and the world's media, including journalists, will descend on London to cover these mysterious rituals. Here's a question I have about coronation planning. Why isn't a portion of the nine-figure bill being used to pay for paid employment? These are temporary jobs for the Chubbly. But work is work and with the current economic crisis in the UK you would expect Charles to be keen to appear like his Chubbly is creating jobs (in short-term). Buckingham Palace insists that serfs be paid for their services for the glory and goodwill of the King. It was first the bell-ringers. All of them will be volunteers, but will still need to have extensive training in order to ring the bells. King Charles wants to recruit thousands of volunteers to his cause. All in Charles's "lifetime public service" vision?
Britons are being encouraged by The Big Help Out to accept hundreds of thousands of volunteer roles as part of coronation celebrations.
The organisation's app now offers new opportunities to the public, including options to support the environment, elderly, animal welfare, and work in their local communities. This initiative is part of the coronation of King Edward VII. People are encouraged to help out on May 8th bank holiday, or to arrange other opportunities to volunteer their skills.
You can search the Big Help Out app by postcode, type of activity or number of organizations. This project was created by leading charities such as the Scouts and the Royal Voluntary Service, and Guide Dogs to increase awareness about volunteering opportunities in the UK.
Organisers expect unprecedented community mobilization to "underscore and inspire a new generation" of volunteers during Charles's reign. Stuart Andrew, minister for ceremonial events and coronation, stated that "The Big Help out will shine a light on the power of volunteering in helping our communities. It's a tribute to His Majesty King's long career of public service, and a great way to start this new age.

One, Charles acts like he invented A Day of Service. This has been a tradition for some time, at least in America. One, Charles' "lifetime of public services" isn’t unpaid volunteerism. He’s been paid handsomely with numerous castles and mansions. Palaces, manors, manors, villas, as well as taxpayers paying the tab for his dumb Chubbly party. Wouldn't it be better to say "Look at all the temporary jobs that we're creating here. This will be a boost for the economy"? Instead, the man who is spending $100 million plus in taxpayer money is ALSO asking his serfs to give their time to him.
These comments and tweet-tweets are incredible.
