Noel Gallagher is a talker and has many unfavorable opinions about pop stars, celebrities and royals. Noel Gallagher is currently promoting his album by giving interviews to music magazines. He is a favorite of journalists because, no matter what you think about him, he always has a memorable quote. He was recently asked about Matt Healy, the 1975 and called Healy "slack-jawed F-kwit". So, the next interviewer had to ask Noel about Healy, the 1975 and again. Noel gives away these quotes again for free.

Noel Gallagher took a break from his ongoing feud with his brother in order to make fun of another band: The 1975. Gallagher is touring in support of Council Skies and interviews have been focusing on Matty Healy's quote that Oasis "should just grow up... get back together, quit messing around."

Gallagher explained the current rock scene by saying, "I think Oasis was the influence that made people f-king begin a band." "I meet a lot of guys that say that, and that's fantastic. It's a shame that guitar music is marginalized. Either you're rock or [The] 1975. The 1975 won the BRITs for Best Rock, or some f*king sh-t."

Gallagher said, "I watched it with my two kids, two teenagers, and I thought, 'Is this me being an old man or is this sh*t?' Both of them were saying, 'Oh, no, this is sh-t.' The 1975: Best Rock Band? Someone must re-define this immediately because... I have no idea what that is but it is certainly not rock. "Whatever rock is, this is not it."

Liam Gallagher has responded to Healy with a subdued tone. When asked on Twitter, "Matty Healy said you were wasting your time, and that you should stop acting like children... What do you think?" Liam replied simply, "It is our time to waste, who made [Healy] boss of time."

What's funnier? Liam may have won for his pure, laugh-out loud humor. Noel is the winner for his complete contempt for both the band and their music. Noel may be right in the narrowest sense. The 1975 are more of a pop group than anything else. They're not "rock" at all. But I don't know much about their music, as I have only heard it a few time.
