Prince William and Kate took Prince George to Eton last week

So far, I have been surprised at how frequently the Princess of Wales gets "her way" in regards to her children's educational needs. Royal children and the children of aristocrats are sent to boarding schools as quickly as possible. It's even more true for royals boys. They are expected to attend Eton, which is the prep school that educates many prime ministers and lords. Prince George is the only one who hasn't been to boarding schools. He's only ten and has never attended. It looks like William, Kate and their oldest son took a tour at Eton last week.

Prince George was spotted with parents William and Kate at Eton. The nine-year old has been attending Lambrook School, Berkshire, since September of last year. However, a Wednesday visit to Eton - which charges PS46,000 per year in tuition - sparked discussions on whether or not he would follow in his dad's footsteps.

Prince William attended the historic boys school in Windsor from 1995 after King Charles went to Scottish boarding school Gordonstoun, which he hated.

George, who is celebrating his 10th Birthday next month, was seen with his parents on Wednesday at the College as the Prince of Wales and Princess spoke to staff. Kate was seen speaking to two staff members of the historic and famous school in an elegant aquamarine gown and ballet shoes, Hello! Reports.

The family was standing by an archway with a sign reading: "Porters' Lodge" and reports from the past about the school explained that the school yard is through the doors, where you'll see a statue of King Henry VI's, the founder of the college.

According to its website, Eton charges a staggering PS15.432 per year. A PS400 registration fee is charged, but scholarships are available to students who pass exams.

The Daily Mirror

Eton is a school for 13-year-olds. George won't be attending Eton this fall. But his parents may want to prepare him for the eventuality of going to Eton. William and Harry started at Ludgrove boarding school when they were eight or nine. I wonder if it's the start of George getting a "future-king" education. Like they will put him in a boarding for a few year before Eton. Hm.
