Thandiwe Newton's thriller God's Country is receiving rave reviews. It premiered at Sundance. She plays a college professor caught up in a conflict with local hunters who park on her property. It's currently rated 92% by Rotten Tomatoes and I look forward to streaming it. She is also the executive producer of President, a documentary about the alleged vote-tampering during the 2018 Zimbabwean presidential election.

Thandiwe recently tweeted his disgust at Sean Penn's antitrans rants during recent interviews with UK outlets. You have probably read about it. Sean stated things like "men of American culture have become wildly feministizedwe shouldn’t become [women]" as well as that there are "cowardly gene that leads to people putting on skirts and giving up their jeans." This was transphobic toxic masculinity 101. Sean is now a more ham-faced, angry joker than ever. As they should, those terrible quotes will be with him forever.

She also mentioned that the interview with The Independent was a joint one. He conducted it with Dylan, his daughter who stars in Flag Day. This terrible promotion is because it's finally being released in the UK.

She frames it like we might, pointing out his hot past and calling him a fool. Thandiwe isn't afraid to speak out against toxic men. She has been vocal for many years about the misogyny of her industry and her own experiences in her career. She is a wonderful actress and I admire the way she calls Sean out. This raises the question, "Where are the men calling Sean out?" He has had many high-profile roles, and Thandiwe said that he is in Licorice Pizza. I'd love to hear from other celebrities about Sean's mistakes and how they speak out for the trans community.

TikTok has a great trend for women to use filters on TikTok to make themselves look like men while listening to toxic podcasts. Imagine Thandiwe pretending to be Sean. It would be hilarious!
