Sophie, Duchess Edinburgh, was not in my attention at Trooping of the Colour. Here's an article about her appearance. She is now the second most senior woman in the Windsor family, behind Queen Camilla and Princess Royal. Sophie is always displaying her royal credentials and she believes that she is the secret weapon of the monarchy. She was placed on the all-white, anemic balcony at Trooping to the side of Queen Camilla and King Charles.

Fashion note: Sophie wore a Jane Taylor-style hat and a Beulah London dress that was unflattering. The dress retails at PS695. Is this outfit just Sophie cosplaying Kate or am I the only one? The style of the dress with the pleating around the neck is very similar to the McQueen gowns Kate has custom-made. Kate would also approve of the hat. Kate must be thrilled that someone has finally cosplayed her. Sophie may not have looked as good to me, but compared with Camilla and Kate she was quite nice.

Sophie watched the parade in a different building, and I assume she was taking care of the Wales children. The kids of Sophie and Edward were not welcome or invited to the balcony. This was a complaint from many people. Charles is awful so I'm going to say that Lady Louise and James were supposed to be on the balcony. Sophie was photographed with Princess Charlotte. Royal fans believe that Sophie said to Charlotte "sit down". You decide! Although I can't "read lips", Sophie looked like she was speaking sharply to Charlotte.
