Who won the Game of Thrones finale?

Spoilers for the final episode of Succession.

Succession's entire purpose was in its name. The third episode of last season was a unique experience for Succession creator Jesse Armstrong. It featured the death of Logan Roy. After Logan's passing, we saw the chaotic, messy battle to determine who would be the winner of the Game of Thrones, and which sibling would take control of Waynestar Royco. The kids were clearly not entitled to the company, as they were incompetent and idiots. However, Kendall could be argued to be the most qualified candidate. I was worried that Kendall would get everything he wanted, only to realize too late that it wasn't possible or that it was something he just wanted because he didn't want his siblings to be happy. I'm glad it wasn't true.

Kendall came close. He was within one vote of the board. All it came down to was Shiv... and... wow. I did not expect the situation to turn out the way it has, with Shiv, Kendall and Roman fighting in the office. Roman repeated what his father had said about Ken's kids, Roman pointed to Shiv, and told Ken "she is the bloodline". Kendall's argument that "I am an eldest son" was not true. Ken grabs Roman's face and Shiv marches back to the boardroom in order to vote on the GoJo deal. The whole thing was perfect.

The scene between Alexander Skarsgard’s Lukas, and Matthew Macfayden’s Tom Wambsgans also worked perfectly. It was a great payoff for all the strange sexual energy between Shiv & Lukas. Lukas does not make business decisions using his d-k. He did not want to hire an American CEO that he would like to sleep with. Lukas was looking for someone who would be compliant, morally neutral and still have a connection to his family. Tom was the ideal candidate. Tom was the perfect candidate. Tom and Shiv's scene in the car was also amazing. The scene in the car between Tom and Shiv was also amazing.

The characters that were brought back in the finale, I really liked. It was wonderful to see Caroline so much, Stewy have some scenes and Roman freaking out when he saw Gerri. The house of Caroline was a wonderful place to be, although I could tell that the sibling vibes would not last. They didn't last 24 hours. They didn't last 12 hours. This shows that the good vibes they are experiencing is not their normal state. They are "at each others' throats" in their natural state.

Kendall alone, on a bench staring at the water... very Michael Corleone-esque. Shiv freed all of them.
