Quantumania Credits Scenes explained by Ant-Man and The Wasp

avengers

This post contains spoilers about "Ant-Man & The Wasp: Quatumania".

"Ant-Man & The Wasp: Quatumania," has finally arrived in theaters. Phase 5 of Marvel Cinematic Universe's Marvel Cinematic Universe has also begun. Scott Lang (Paul Rudd), has been resting on the laurels after saving the planet with the help of a rats and some other Avengers. At least that's what Cassie Newton, his daughter Cassie, believes. She wants him to use all his powers to save the world. He's published a book, which you can purchase in September. But now Cassie (Kathryn Newton) sees her father signing books and receiving free coffee as a way to preserve existence.

Cassie hasn't been idle, however. Her dad is enjoying a relaxing time with Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lililly), and Hope is using Pym particles for improving the world's conditions. Cassie, however, has sent a signal to the Quantum Realm. This is something she does in front Scott and Hope (Michelle Pfeiffer), and Hank Pym(Michael Douglas). Janet, who was trapped in the Quantum Realm for 30 years, is upset that her family didn't get to know a lot of what she did. They all get sucked down, and Janet learns that her past includes meeting Kang the Conqueror (Jonathan Majors), becoming friends with him, trying to find the right part for the ship, and then learning about his evil plans for the multiverse. Kang takes the part and is furious when he discovers that Janet is there.

"Quantumania," has both a post-credits and mid-credits scene. Let's take a look at what actually happened.

The Mid-Credits Scene Explained

avengers

Mid-credits, we hear three Kang variations: Immortus and Rama-Tut. And... perhaps a not-scarlet Scarlet Centurion, which appears somewhat robotic. Rama-Tut questions if he's sure that the exiled one (meaning The Conqueror) claims that he is dead. Although they seem to believe it, that doesn't necessarily mean it is true. They discuss how upset they are that they weren't responsible for bringing him down. It was done by others, which may refer to Scott and his friends. Then Immortus says that they have started to touch the multiverse, and that they can let them take everything we've built. Let's not waste time. We see a shot from "Loki" of the timeline streams. They could refer to Scott and the rest of Earth-616's Avengers. The centurion (?) The centurion(?) asks how many were called and Immortus replies, "All of us."

A huge stadium is filled with Kang variations. It would take a lot of effort to identify them, but I did see a Skrull, one with blue skin, one in a cape and one wearing a mask. They are laughing and cheering.

Although it's difficult to explain the Kang variations, they all come from Nathaniel Richards who was born in the 30th Century on Earth-6311. In that timeline, an Earth-616 time travel-man (the Avengers branch), appears earlier, bringing peace to that past.

Later, Nathaniel, an Earth-6311 bored man, travels back to Earth-616 in ancient Egypt and becomes Pharaoh Rama Tut. He escapes from the Fantastic Four and ends up on modern Earth-616, where he makes Scarlet Centurion armor. Kang's future self, Immortus, has fought alongside and against the Avengers at various points.

The Post-Credits Scene explained

It sets up season 2 of "Loki" and is worth watching. The scene drops us into what seems to be 1900 or a little later. Jonathan Majors plays Victor Timely, a Kang-based man who is on the stage, demonstrating machinery. He says that time is all and that it shapes our lives. But maybe we can change time. Loki (Tom Hiddleston) and Mobius, (Owen Wilson), are both in period costumes. Loki speaks with fear and says, "That's him." Mobius responds, "You made him sound terrifying." Loki responds, "He is."

This implies that Loki made Mobius think of him after the events in "Loki" season 1, or that he recruited him to stop the Kang variants He Who Remains(Majors), said would be coming to Sylvie's death (Sophia Di Martino).

Victor Timely may sound familiar because he is a Kang-based character from the comics. In 1901, Timely, Wisconsin was founded by an industrialist. There's no ego here, right? He serves as the mayor of the town and uses his tech-invention brilliance to make it a wonder. The tech that is improving the town's quality of life comes from the future.

Kang Prime discovers a time machine in Earth-6311's year 3000. This is how he begins his journey across the multiverse. Timely is actually Kang Prime in comics. But it could change. Timely may look normal with his comics-accurate mustache but he is a man who has all the knowledge of the future. He could do so many things with it.
