We know of four houses that Prince William owns: Adelaide Cottage, Anmer Hall and Kensington Palace, as well as Tam-na-Ghar (in Scotland). Six months ago, he was made the Duke of Cornwall and has access to the huge Duchy of Cornwall real property empire. William has been making clear behind-the scenes maneuvers to persuade his father to expel Prince Andrew from Royal Lodge so that William and his family could move into the mansion, which was renovated to the tune of millions. William believes that homelessness is the most pressing issue right now. In honor of Red Nose Day (the fundraising day for Comic Relief), he did a podcast interview. The video can be viewed here.
Prince William believes that Princess Diana, his mother, would be disappointed at the lack of progress in combating homelessness. Diana introduced the Prince of Wales, aged 40, to the plight street sleepers and other people without homes. He took Prince Harry and Prince William to shelters and is a committed campaigner on this issue.
He says that Diana, who passed away in 1997 at the age of 36, would be disappointed that no more progress has been made.
Prince William stated that his mother was the one who introduced him to homelessness at a young age. "I believe she would be disappointed to see that we are not further along in tackling homelessness and preventing its occurrence than when she was involved."
Comic Relief produced the video and it will be broadcast in its entirety during a telethon on Friday. A short clip of William visiting Groundswell charity, which Comic Relief supports, and recording a podcast for Groundswell's Listen Up! Project.
According to the Prince of Wales, he is "to learn" the stories of Nawshin (and Miles) who were helped by the charity.
William says to them, "I'm really here to learn more from you both to hear a little more about your lived experiences with homelessness."

It's important that homeless people are heard and their stories told. However, William doesn't have any other resources than his listening skills. Homelessness is complex and has many moving parts. However, it's not an impossible problem. Create more low-income housing, allocate more public funds to address the root causes of homelessness, and create a stronger safety net for all citizens. Don't let some posh a-hole patronizingly sneer "I'm just listen to" as he returns to one of four homes.
Take a look at the comments to this tweet if you have time. They are really going after Peg for a new one.
